Visions Of Utopia

In an article about the shooter in yesterday’s attack at the U. S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, a white separatist commented that "the responsible white separatist community condemns this. It makes us look bad." “Responsible white separatist community?” Who and what are these guys? Scholars? Martini-sippers at exclusive clubs? Practitioners of safe sex?

Apparently, the 88 year-old man who carried a rifle into the museum and fatally shot a security guard before being wounded himself hates Blacks and Jews, and presumably others, but declared that if he had to pick, he would see that all the Jews were killed first.

Some referred to this person as being very intelligent, a “genius,” and a one-time member of Mensa. He also was convicted in 1981 of armed kidnapping after an incident at the Federal Reserve in Washington during which he brandished a handgun and toted an 11-page document that detailed his idea of an "international bankers' conspiracy to rule all nations from one central seat of government." His testimony at the trial included his “goal” that Jews and Blacks should be deported “from the white nations.”

It is very unsettling that there are people out there who harbor such hatred – even those who consider themselves to be “responsible.”

Reports indicate that hate groups are on the upswing in terms of numbers. Some explanations suggest that the economy, immigration issues, and the election of Barack Obama are contributing factors.

The National Socialist Movement, for instance, describes itself as a “white civil rights movement,” with the purpose of “whitewashing America,” kicking out Jews and gays, treating minorities as “guests” (one wonders about the level of hospitality!), and limiting citizenship to “those of pure white blood.” Immigration would completely be stopped.

Let’s see. We already send more young African-American men to prison than to college. Immigrants often work in low-wage jobs (sometimes more than one) in poor conditions. Homosexuals are denied basic human and civil rights. Jews are scorned. I guess if these folks all were gone, we wouldn’t have to deal with these and related issues. What about women? When did they suddenly become acceptable? And children? They don’t contribute anything to the economy.

If it were an all-white (male adult) nation in which we lived wouldn’t it be grand?

No more corruption in government or on Wall Street.
